Microsoft Azure services
The best infrastructure is the kind you never have to think about — it stays current, recovers when something fails, and never becomes the reason a project stalls. Azure is that foundation: the cloud platform that hosts your systems, secures who can reach them, and connects them to everything else. For anyone still tied to ageing hardware, it is also the easiest first step — move the infrastructure now, modernise the applications when you're ready. We host, secure, connect and back up every environment we build on it, so the layer underneath simply works.
Azure Virtual Machines
Move your servers to the cloud without changing your systems.
Azure Virtual Machines let you run NAV, GP, on-premises Business Central, SQL Server and legacy line-of-business applications on Microsoft's infrastructure rather than hardware in your building. You step off the server refresh cycle, gain geographic redundancy and a disaster recovery position you can actually test, and scale capacity for month-end or peak season without buying for the peak permanently.
For many of our clients this is the sensible first move: leave the data centre now, modernise the application when the business is ready.
- Lift and shift migration
- Tested disaster recovery
- Scale on demand
Azure SQL Database
Your database, fully managed and always current.
Azure SQL Database delivers the SQL Server engine as a managed service, with patching, backups, high availability and point-in-time restore handled by Microsoft. Encryption and built-in threat detection meet the expectations of auditors and insurers, and performance tuning recommendations arrive automatically rather than waiting for a specialist to look.
For an ERP workload it means predictable performance and a recovery position you can demonstrate on request.
- Automated backup and restore
- Built-in threat detection
- High availability
Microsoft Entra ID
One secure identity across every system your people use.
Entra ID is the identity layer behind Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure. Your team signs in once to reach Business Central, Teams and the applications connected around them; multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies protect that access; and when someone joins, changes role or leaves, their permissions update everywhere at once.
It is the single most effective security improvement available to most mid-sized businesses, and it is usually already included in the licences you hold.
Note. Entra ID is the service formerly called Azure Active Directory.
- Single sign-on
- MFA and conditional access
- Lifecycle-managed access
Azure Integration Services
Connect Business Central to everything that isn't Microsoft.
Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus and Data Factory) is how your ERP talks to the rest of your world: banking and payment platforms, freight and third-party logistics providers, customer EDI portals, e-commerce storefronts and the equipment on your production floor. Integrations are monitored, retried on failure and logged, so a broken feed raises an alert rather than quietly going missing.
This is the foundation our PLC integration and industrial automation extensions are built on.
- API and EDI integration
- Monitored with retry logic
- IoT and shop-floor data
Azure DevOps
Your customisations, properly engineered and safely released.
Azure DevOps is where the code and configuration behind your solution is versioned, tested and deployed. Requirements and defects are tracked as work items you can follow, AL extensions are built and released through automated pipelines, and a sandbox that mirrors production means every change is proven before it reaches your users.
It is the difference between an upgrade you schedule and an upgrade you hope goes well, and it is how we keep clients current through Microsoft's twice-yearly release cadence.
- Source-controlled AL code
- Automated build and release
- Sandbox testing
